November, December, January

Okay, so I haven't posted in a while.  I've been busy.  I didn't do much during the month of November. We wanted to soak up all the "Daddy time" we could get with Brett before he left for BMT (Basic Military Training). We did Thanksgiving here at home, and got Peyton's 2nd bday party in before Brett left (though he left 3 days before her actual bday).  Since he's been gone, it's been kind of a blur.  We went to Spokane for Christmas, and I've been busy with cheer season.  I've tried to keep up with my working out (I'm about 20 lbs down since last June), and the kids are keeping busy (Landon does preschool and gymnastics and Peyton did gymnastics, though we are taking a break now).  Peyton potty trained herself (decided she was ready and it took less than a week!), so NO MORE DIAPERS (except at night).  YAY!!!!

I headed down to San Antonio about a week and a half ago to watch Brett's graduation from BMT.  It was SO nice to see him, but my visit was cut short due to work obligations on Saturday (ugh, :( not too happy about that).  He is now at his new location at Tech School, and officially begins classes this next week.  Although we are about 1/3 of the way done with this separation, I can't decide if I'm glad it is that much over, or depressed that we still have so far to go apart.  So far so good though.  I'm pretty proud of how I am handling everything by myself.  It has definitely been a learning experience, and I've really learned who my true support system is.  That's a hard lesson sometimes, but a good one to know. My mom has been so helpful, along with Greg and Ilene.  My friends have really been there for me too, so that is great.
