Landon's Christmas Mishap

Landon after knocking out his tooth, he recovered quickly.

The tooth!

Merry Christmas Everyone!  We hope this message finds everyone well.

So Landon (if you haven't already heard) suffered a little Christmas night mishap.  We were at Grandma and Grandpa Wikum's house, getting ready to eat a yummy prime rib dinner.  Landon followed Grandma into the pantry, and proceeded to play with a cup of noodle package, harmless enough we thought.  He then in the blink of an eye, tripped, smacking face first into the cardboard box holding the bulk container of cup of noodle packages.  His front right tooth got caught in the box, and when he pulled his face up, it pulled his tooth right out whole!  What seemed (to me) as gallons of blood and tears (the tears mostly mine) later, Landon is doing  just fine.  In fact, he was over it as soon as we got the bleeding stopped with an ice cube wrapped in a washcloth and he was plopped into the bath tub.  As soon as he hit that warm water, you would have never known he was ever injured!  I however took it rather hardly, and was worried that he would have some permanent damage.  A few frantic Christmas day phone calls to the Pediatrician and the dentist later, I was assured that he will be fine.  He will only suffer from a goofy gap toothed smile for the next six years, which is still hard for me considering I think he is the most beautiful thing on earth and don't want him to look ridiculous.  Landon is doing just fabulous  now, other than his three day soft food only diet, while Mom is still coping!
